이집트와 인도네시아, 요르단, 말레이시아, 사우디아라비아, 터키의 외무장관들은 사우디 아라비아의 압둘라 국왕 주최로 성지 메카에서 열리는 회교국 정상 회의릐 토대를 마련하기 위해 만나고 있습니다.
앞서 파키스탄의 샤우카트 아지즈 총리는 중동평화는 팔레스타인 주민들의 소망에 부응하는 가운데 팔레스타인 문제의 공정한 해결에 달려있다고 지적했습니다.

Foreign ministers from seven Islamic countries meeting in Pakistan have issued a statement calling for diplomacy to end the standoff over Iran's nuclear program.
The statement read today (Sunday) by Pakistan's foreign minister, Khursheed Kasuri, said there had been a "dangerous escalation of tension" over the nuclear issue, and said there must be no use of force to resolve it.
The foreign ministers of Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Turkey are meeting in Pakistan's capital of Islamabad to lay the groundwork for a summit of Muslim leaders in the holy city of Mecca, hosted by Saudi King Abdullah. The date of the summit has not been set.
Pakistan's prime minister, Shaukat Aziz, had earlier told the delegates a Middle east peace depends on a fair solution to the Palestinian problem, in line with the wishes of the Palestinian people.
