인도 통상부는 21일 이란의 우라늄 농축활동에 도움을 줄 수 있는 모든 품목과 물질, 장비, 상품, 기술의 직접 간접 수출입을 금지하는 내용의 성명을 발표했습니다.
이번 조치는 지난 해 이란이 핵무기의 주요물질인 우라늄 농축활동을 계속하는데 대해 이란에 부과한 유엔 안전보장이사회 결의안에 따라 취해진 것입니다.
이란은 유엔이 핵활동을 중단하도록 제시한 60일간의 시한에도 불구하고, 핵계획을 그대로 강행하겠다고 다짐하고 있습니다.

India has banned the export of all nuclear material and technology to Iran.
The trade ministry released a statement today (Wednesday) announcing the prohibition of all direct or indirect export and import of all items, materials, equipment, goods and technology which could contribute to Iran's enrichment-related activities.
The announcement is in compliance with last year's United Nations Security Council resolution decision to impose sanctions on Iran for continuing to enrich uranium, a key component of nuclear weapons.
Iran has vowed to press ahead with its nuclear program, despite a 60 day deadline imposed by the United Nations to cease its nuclear activities.
Tehran has said it is pursuing nuclear technology for peaceful purposes only.
Nuclear-armed India has repeatedly called for dialogue to resolve the issue of Iran's controversial nuclear activities.
