미 의회 하원에서 조지 부시 대통령의 이라크 추가 파병 계획을 반대하는 구속력 없는 결의안에 관한 토론이 15일로 사흘째 돌입합니다.
14일 토론에서 부시 대통령이 속해 있는 공화당 의원 십여명이 추가 파병에 반대했습니다.
펜실배니아주 공화당 소속 필 잉글리쉬 의원은 군인들의 누적되는 피로와 이라크 정부의 민주화에 대한결의 부족을 우려하고 있다고 말했습니다.
결의안은 이라크에 2만여명의 추가 병력을 파견하겠다는 부시 대통령의 계획에 반대를 표명하고 이미 배치돼 있는 미군들에 대한 지원을 재확인 하고 있습니다.
일부 공화당 의원들은 16일에 있을 표결에서 민주당측에 동조할 것으로 예상되고 있습니다.

The debate on a non-binding resolution opposing President Bush's troop buildup in Iraq enters a third day in the U.S. House of Representatives today (Thursday) .
At least a dozen members of Mr. Bush's own Republican Party spoke out Wednesday against the troop increase. Pennsylvania Republican Phil English said he was concerned about the strains on U.S. military personnel, and the commitment of the Iraqi government.
The resolution expresses disapproval with Mr. Bush's plan to deploy more than 20-thousand additional combat troops to Iraq, and affirms support for U.S. troops already serving there. A number of Republicans are expected to join Democrats in approving the measure when it comes to a vote Friday.
Wednesday, President Bush said Congress has every right to express its opinion, but warned against any efforts to turn the non-binding resolution into a binding resolution that would restrict funding for additional troops.
