이라크 북부지역의 한 경찰서에서 자살폭탄 공격이 벌어져 적어도 열 다섯 사람이 죽고 20여 명이 부상했습니다.
이라크 경찰 당국은 북부도시 티크리트 남쪽 수니파 회교도 거주지역인 아드와르에서 자살폭탄 공격범이 트럭을 몰고 경찰서 정문을 돌진해 건물밖에서 폭발했다고 말했습니다.
이 자살폭탄 공격으로 경찰서 건물이 크게 파괴되고 경찰관들과 수감자 및 민간인들이 살해됐으며 사망자가 더 늘어날 것 같다고 이라크 경찰 관계관들이 밝혔습니다.
한편, 시리아 국경에 인접한 이라크 서북부 지역 라비야 인근에서 미니버스를 타고 가던 국경수비대 지원자 여덟 명이 무장자들의 총격을 받아 살해됐습니다.
수도 바그다드 북쪽타지 미 공군 기지 인근에서 미군 아파치 헬리콥터 한 대가 격추됐다고 목격자들이 전했습니다.

Iraqi police say a suicide truck bomber has killed at least 15 people and wounded more than 20 at a police station in northern Iraq.
Police say the attack took place today (Sunday) in a mostly Sunni town 20 kilometers south of Tikrit. They say the bomber rammed a truck through the gate of a police station and triggered the blast outside the building.
Elsewhere, police say gunmen killed eight border guard recruits today as they were riding a minibus in northwestern Iraq, near the Syrian frontier
In other news, witnesses north of Baghdad say an American Apache helicopter was shot down near an American air base (Taji). A U.S. spokeswoman says the military is checking into the report. Six U.S. helicopters have gone down in Iraq in recent weeks.
