일본 히로시마로 징용당했다가 원자폭탄 피해를 입은 한국인들의 손해배상 청구 소송에 대해 한국 법원이 패소 판결을 내렸습니다.
한국 부산 지방법원은 일본 미쓰비시중공업에 대한 피해자들의 손해배상 청구를 기각했습니다.
이승호 담당판사는 이들의 피해시점이 소멸시효 10년을 지났다고 기각 이유를 밝혔습니다.
6명의 한인 피해자들은 지난 2000년 5월에 소송을 제기했으며, 강제 노역과 원폭 피해 보상금으로 1인당 1억100만원씩을 요구했습니다.
일본은 세계에서 원자폭탄 공격을 받은 유일한 나라입니다. 미국은 1945년 8월 히로시마와 나가사키에 원자폭탄을 투하했었습니다.

A South Korean court has thrown out a lawsuit by six South Koreans who worked as forced laborers in Hiroshima, Japan when it was destroyed by a U.S. atomic bomb.
A district court judge in the southern port city of Busan rejected the survivors' demand for compensation from Mitsubishi Heavy Industry.
Judge Lee Seung-ho said the statute of limitations had expired 10 years after the event. The six former workers filed the suit in May 2000.
They demanded 108-thousand dollars each for their forced labor and for health problems caused by exposure to the radioactive blast. Japan is the only country to have suffered a nuclear attack.
The U.S. dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945.
