관리들은 검사 결과 태국 중심의 안통지방에 있는 닭 최소한 6마리에서 치명적인 H5N1 조류독감 바이러스가 검출됐다고 말했습니다.
태국 북동부 라오스 접경 지역인 농카이 지방에서는 지난주 두번째 조류독감이 발생했습니다.
태국의 방역관리들은 지난 1월 15일 태국 북부 피트산누록 지방의 오리들에서 H5N1 바이러스를 검출하고 거의 6개월 만에 최초의 H5N1 바이러스 발견사례를 보고했습니다.
2004년 조류독감이 발생한 이래 지금까지 태국에서 조류독감에 감염된 사람 25명 중 17명이 사망했습니다.

Thai livestock officials have confirmed the country's third outbreak of bird flu this year - this time among chickens in the country's central region.
They say laboratory tests found the deadly H5N1 bird flu virus in at least six chickens in Ang Thong province.
The second outbreak was confirmed last week in a northeastern (Nong Khai) province bordering Laos.
On January 15th, livestock officials reported the country's first H5N1 outbreak in almost six months when they found the virus among ducks in northern Thailand (in the province of Phitsanulok).
Since the bird flu outbreak began in 2004, Thailand has recorded 25 human cases, 17 of them fatal.
