중국의 후진타오 주석은 30일 아프리카 국가들과의 경제적, 정치적 관계를 강화하기 위한 아프리카 8개국 순방에 나섰습니다. 후진타오 주석은 30일 아침 카메룬을 향해 출발했습니다.
후 주석은 12일동안의 이번 아프리카 순방 기간 동안 카메룬 외에도 라이베리아와 수단, 잠비아, 나미비아, 남아프리카 공화국, 모잠비크, 세이셸을 방문합니다.
중국의 관영 신화통신은 후 주석이 이번 아프리카 순방에서 지난해 11월 베이징에서 열린 중국-아프리카 협력포럼 정상회의에서 아프리카 지도자들에게 제공한 원조약속을 이행할 것이라고 말했습니다.
중국 상무부는 29일 앞으로 3년동안에 걸쳐 아프리카 국가들이 하부구조를 개발하고 다른 필요한 분야를 개발할 수 있도록 돕기위해 30억 달러의 차관을 제공할 것이라고 발표했습니다.
인권단체들은 중국이 아프리카 국가 정부들에게 인권상황을 개선하고 부정부패를 몰아내도록 영향력을 행사해야 한다고 촉구하고 있습니다.
후진타오 주석의 아프리카 방문은 지난 2003년 취임후 이번이 세번째입니다.

Chinese President Hu Jintao begins an eight-nation tour of Africa today (Tuesday) aimed at boosting economic and political ties with the continent.
Mr. Hu left Beijing this (Tuesday) morning for Cameroon. During his 12-day journey, he also will visit Liberia, Sudan, Zambia, Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique and the Seychelles.
China's official Xinhua News Agency says Mr. Hu will use the trip to follow through on aid pledges made to African leaders at a summit in Beijing in November.
China's commerce ministry announced Monday that Beijing will lend African nations three billion dollars over the next three years to help them develop infrastructure and meet other needs.
Human rights groups say China is not using its influence with African governments to demand human rights improvements and lessen corruption.
The trip is Mr. Hu's third to Africa since taking office in 2003.
