일본 관계관들은 16일,일본 남서부지역의 한 농가에서 인체에 옮겨지는 H5N1 계통 조류독감 바이러스 감염이 발생했다고 발표했습니다. 이번에 일본에서 H5N1 바이러스 감염이 발생한 것은 거의 3년만에 처음입니다.
또한 태국의 북부지역 피차눌록성에서 조류독감 바이러스에 감염된 오리들이 발견됐다고 태국 관계관들이 밝혔습니다. 태국에서는 6개월 전에도 조류독감 감염사태가 발생했었습니다.
한편, 베트남에서는 H5N1계통 바이러스 감염이 일곱 번째로 북부 피차눌록 성까지 번져 방역당국이 감염확산 방지대책을 강화하고 있습니다.

Officials in Japan and Thailand have confirmed outbreaks of the lethal H5N1 strain of bird flu. Authorities in Vietnam say the virus has spread to a seventh province there.
Japanese officials confirmed today (Tuesday) an outbreak of the H5N1 virus at a poultry farm in southwestern Japan. It is the first time in almost three years that Japan has detected the H5N1 strain of bird flu, which can be lethal to humans.
The virus killed about four thousand chickens last week at a farm in Kiyotake town in Miyazaki prefecture. No human infections from the Miyazaki outbreak have been reported.
Thai officials say the virus has infected ducks in northern Phitsanulok province. It is the first outbreak in Thailand in six months.
In Vietnam, authorities say H5N1 has spread to Soc Trang province as authorities there are stepping up efforts to prevent the spread of the disease.
