한국의 노무현 대통령과 중국의 원자바오 국가주석, 일본의 아베 신조 총리는 14일 북한에 대해 핵 계획을 포기하고 북한의 인도주의 문제에 대한 국제사회의 우려에 응답할 것을 촉구했습니다.
몇몇 남지않은 북한의 동맹국들 가운데 하나인 중국이 북한의 인권문제에 대해 공개적으로 거론하는 것은 드문 일입니다.
한-중-일 지도자들은 지난해 10월 북한이 핵 실험을 실시한 이후 유엔이 채택한 대북 제재결의에 대한 지지를 거듭 확인했습니다.
이들 지도자들은 2년 만에 처음 열린 이번 정상회담에서 자체 우려 사안들도 제기했습니다.

The leaders of China, South Korea and Japan have met on the sidelines of a regional summit in the Philippines, and stressed their united stand against North Korea's nuclear ambitions.
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun urged North Korea today (Sunday) to abandon its nuclear weapons program and respond to international humanitarian concerns.
China is one of North Korea's few remaining allies and rarely makes public requests for the reclusive state to address human rights issues.
The three leaders also reaffirmed their support for U.N. sanctions put in place after North Korea tested a nuclear device in October.
The leaders raised their concerns during the first summit among the three nations in two years.
