이스라엘은 자국이 이란의 우라늄 농축시설들에 대한 핵공격 계획을 작성해 놓고 있다는 영국 신문 보도를 일축했습니다.
이스라엘의 마크 레게브 외무부 대변인은 7일, 외교를 통해 핵문제를 평화적으로 해결하는데 중점을 두고 있다면서 영국 ‘ 더 선데이 타임스’ 신문이 보도한 내용을 부인했습니다.
더 선데이 타임스 신문은 이스라엘의 이란 우라늄 농축시설들에 대한 이 같은 핵공격 계획을 위해 이스라엘의 2개 공군대대가 이란 지하 핵시설들을 파괴하기 위한 재래식과 핵무기 공격등 양면 공격 작전 수행을 위해 훈련 중에 있다고 보도했습니다.
이 같은 보도에 대해 이란의 외무부의 모하마드 알리 호세이니 대변인은 어떤 나라든 이란을 공격하면 즉각 후회하게 될 것이라고 경고했습니다.
호세이니 대변인은 영국 신문에 보도된 이스라엘의 그같은 계획은 이스라엘이 국제 평화에 대한 중대한 위협 존재임을 보여주는 것이라고 말했습니다.

Israel is denying British reports that it has drawn up plans for a nuclear strike on Iran's uranium enrichment facilities.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Mark Regev today (Sunday) said Israel is focused on peacefully resolving the nuclear standoff through diplomacy.
Earlier, Britain's "Sunday Times" newspaper reported two Israeli air force squadrons have been training for conventional and nuclear attacks aimed at destroying Iranian nuclear facilities deep underground.
Following the report, Iran's foreign ministry warned that any nation that attacks Iran will quickly regret its actions.
Spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini said the reported plans show that Israel is the main threat to global peace.
