구조 헬기들이 적어도 20명이 탑승한 구명 보트들을 여러 척 발견했지만, 거센 파도 때문에 생존자 공수 작업이 방해를 받고 있습니다. 당국자들은 구조 대원들이 구명 보트에 식량과 식수를 투하했다면서, 선박을 파견해 생존자들을 구출할 것이라고 말했습니다.

Indonesian rescue teams are struggling to reach survivors of a ferry that capsized in the Java Sea in rough waters, spilling more than 600 people into the ocean.
Officials say nearly 200 people have been rescued, while at least 400 remain missing. Helicopters have spotted several life rafts carrying at least 20 people each, but choppy waters are hampering efforts to air lift the survivors.
Authorities say rescuers dropped food and water to the rafts, and that boats would return to pick up the people.
The ferry sank early Saturday morning as it was sailing from Kumai in Central Kalimantan province to Semarang in Central Java. Survivors say the boat went down in minutes with many still stuck on board.
