러시아 시베리아의 한 병원에서 화재가 발생해 아홉명이 숨지고 열여섯명이 다쳤다고 러시아 당국자들이 밝혔습니다.
지방 당국자들은 10일 케메로프 지방의 타이가 마을의 정신병원에서 화재가 발생해 이같이 사상자가 발생했다고 말했습니다.
하루 전인 9일에는 수도 모스크바의 마약 중독자들을 위한 갱생의료원에서 화재가 발생해 여성환자 마흔다섯명이 숨진 바 있습니다. 이 사건은 방화에 의한 것으로 추정되고 있습니다.
당국자들은 병원 창문에 설치된 창살과 잠긴 문으로 인해 많은 환자들이 불길에서 탈출하지 못하고 숨졌다고 말했습니다. 당국자들은 대부분의 병원 직원들이 문을 잠근 채로 피신해 환자들을 고립시켰다고 말했습니다.

Russian officials say nine people have died in a fire at a clinic in Siberia, the country's second lethal hospital blaze in two days.
Local emergency officials said 16 other people were injured in today's (Sunday's) fire at a mental hospital in the town of Taiga in the Kemerov region.
The incident comes one day after 45 people - all women - were killed in a suspected arson fire at a drug rehabilitation hospital in Moscow.
Officials say metal bars covering the windows and a locked gate blocked many patients in the Moscow fire from escaping the blaze. They say most hospital staff members fled the burning building without unlocking the gate, trapping the patients.
