An advance team of French troops has arrived in Lebanon to join U.N. peacekeepers along the border with Israel.
The 200 soldiers arrived at Beirut's port today (Saturday). Israel says it will withdraw its remaining forces from Lebanon after the U.N. force is expanded from several thousand to 15-thousand soldiers.
On Friday, Israel lifted the sea blockade it imposed on Lebanon two months ago at the start of its war with Hezbollah guerrillas in the country.
Israel lifted its air blockade of Lebanon on Thursday.
It imposed the blockade to prevent Hezbollah from getting arms supplies from Iran through Syria. A U.N.-mandated ceasefire ended the war last month.
