아시아 태평양 국가 재무장관들은 좀 더 자유로운 국제무역에 관한 논의를 재개하기로 다짐했습니다.
21개 APEC 회원국 재무장관들은 8일 베트남의 수도 하노이에서 이틀동안 열린 아시아 태평양 경제협력체-APEC 회의를 끝내며 이른바 도하 라운드 재개를 위해 노력하겠다는 내용의 공동성명을 발표했습니다.
도하 라운드는 국제무역과 관세법을 평준화해 전세계적으로 공정하고 균형있는 발전을 증진하기위한 것입니다. 도하 라운드는 일부 부유국들이 자국농민들에게 제공하는 보조금 문제에 관한 견해차이로 현재 교착상태에 빠져있습니다.

Finance ministers from Asia-Pacific nations meeting in Vietnam have pledged to work toward restarting talks on freer international commerce.
The 21 members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum (APEC) wrapped up their two-day meeting today (Friday) in Vietnam's capital, Hanoi.
They have released a joint statement saying they will work with their countries' trade authorities to get talks started again on what is known as the Doha round of World Trade Organization negotiations. Those talks aim to standardize international trade and tariff rules, so as to promote fair and balanced development worldwide.
The Doha talks have stalled, mostly because of disagreements over the subsidies some wealthier nations provide to their farmers.
APEC member nations account for almost half of world trade.
