Israeli warplanes pounded the southern suburbs of Beirut today (Sunday).
At least 18 massive explosions rocked the city, sending plumes of smoke over Beirut. Lebanese officials say earlier strikes across the country killed at least 10 civilians.
Meanwhile, Israeli officials say five soldiers were killed in fighting today. Thirty-thousand Israeli soldiers are fighting Hezbollah guerrillas in southern Lebanon.
And Israeli officials say Hezbollah fired 250 rockets into Israel -- the most in a single day. The rockets hit Haifa and several other parts of northern Israel and killed at least one civilian.
