타목의 시신은 1999년 체포된 후 그가 피난처로 삼았던 쿠메르 루즈 본거지로 옮겨졌습니다. 현재 그의 장지에 대한 논의들이 진행되고 있습니다.

Hundreds of people have gathered in northern Cambodia to pay their final respects to Ta Mok, a brutal killer who led the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime in its final days.
Mourners carried incense sticks as they filed past Ta Mok's body today (Saturday) in Anlong Veng. The 80-year-old former military commander died Friday in a Phnom Penh hospital after suffering from respiratory and heart problems for weeks.
His body was transported to the Khmer Rouge stronghold where he sought refuge until being captured in 1999. Discussions are ongoing about where he will be buried.
With his death, Ta Mok has escaped a United Nations-backed tribunal to prosecute former Khmer Rouge leaders. Nearly two million people died from execution, overwork and starvation during the Maoist group's brutal four-year rule from 1975 to 1979.
Ta Mok was considered a key witnesses to the trial, which is set to begin next year.
