바그다드의 수니파 아랍인 지구에서 무장괴한들이 시아파 성지인 나자프 시에 매장될 관을 싣고 가던 차량을 매복 공격해 적어도 10명이 사망했습니다. 또한 바그다드에서 삼엄한 경비가 펼쳐지고 있는 그린존 인근의 한 식당 밖에서 차량 폭탄이 폭발하고 자살 폭탄범이 몸에 지니고 있던 폭탄을 터뜨려 적어도 5명이 사망하고 10명이 부상했습니다.
서부 만수르 지구에서는 무장괴한들이 이라크 계약업체 사무실을 공격해 5명이 사망했습니다. 한편, 이란 카르멘샤 시 주재 이라크 영사가 시아파가 주로 거주하는 바그다드 아밀 지구에 있는 자택 인근에서 납치됐습니다.

Iraqi police say gunmen killed at least 10 people in Baghdad today (Tuesday) in an ambush attack on a vehicle carrying a coffin for burial in the Shi'ite holy city of Najaf.
The attack took place in (Dura) a predominantly Sunni Arab southern district of the capital.
Separately, Iraq's consul to the Iranian city of Karmenshah (Wissam Jabr al-Awadi) was abducted near his home in Baghdad's mostly Shi'ite district of Amil.
And, at least five people were killed and 10 others wounded when a suicide bomber blew himself up outside Baghdad's heavily fortified Green Zone.
Continuing sectarian violence in the Iraqi capital has claimed the lives of scores of people since Sunday.
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki appealed to Iraq's Shi'ites and Sunnis Monday to end the strife and "unite as brothers" in the fight against terrorism. Speaking to the Kurdish regional parliament in northern Iraq, Mr. Maliki said there is no choice but to defeat those who want to return Iraq to its dark days.
