나이지리아의 무장단체인, 니제르델타해방운동, M END는 자신들이 7일, 나이지리아 남부 유전지대 항구도시 포트 하코트 인근 섬의 건설현장에서 한국인 근로자 다섯 명을 납치했다고 주장했습니다.
이 무장단체는 성명을 통해 반역죄 혐의로 재판을 받고 있는 무장단체 지도자 무자히드 도쿠보-아사리의 석방을 인질과 교환하기를 원한다고 시사했습니다.
무장단체는 한국인들이 안전하게 있다면서 그러나 자신들의 기지를 공격하지 말라고 경고했습니다.

In southern Nigeria, gunmen have kidnapped five South Korean workers from a offshore natural gas plant.
A Nigerian militant group has claimed responsibility for the abductions, which occurred early today (Wednesday) near the oil hub of Port Harcourt.
The group says its fighters killed at least five Nigerian soldiers during the nighttime raid, and says one of its own fighters was killed.
In a statement, the group indicated it wants to exchange the hostages for a jailed militant leader, Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, who is on trial for treason. A Nigerian court denied bail to the militant leader on Tuesday.
The militants said the Koreans are safe but warned against any attack on its bases.
The kidnappings have prompted the gas plant's operator, Royal Dutch Shell, to close down the facility.
