Doctors in Indonesia have reported the country's 37th confirmed death from bird flu -- a 15-year-old boy from the West Java capital of Bandung.
Doctors said the boy died May 30th, but test results only recently confirmed the H5N1 infection.
Indonesia has reported a spike in bird flu cases in recent months. Officials are examining 54 people who were quarantined because of ties to a family decimated by the virus.
The deaths of the seven members of a single family raised concerns that the virus was being transmitted from human to human, which health officials worry could rapidly spread the disease.
