인도네시아 수도 자카르타를 방문중인 아흐마디 네자드 이란 대통령은 11일 열광하는 학생들에게 행한 연설에서 이같이 말했습니다.
아흐마디 네자드 대통령은 지난해 10월 이스라엘은 지도에서 사라져야만 하며, 독일 나찌의 유대인 대학살은 신화였다고 말한바 있습니다.
아흐마디네자드 대통령의 그같은 발언은 세계 지도자들의 신랄한 비판을 불러왔습니다. 앞어 이번주, 시몬 페레스 이스라엘 부총리는 이란은 자신들도 멸망할 수 있다는 사실을 알아야 한다고 한다고 말했습니다. 페레스 부총리는 이란 핵문제는 단지 이스라엘에 대한 위협만이 아니라 전세계를 향한 위험이라고 말했습니다.

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has called Israel "a regime based on evil" and said the Jewish state "cannot continue and one day will vanish."
Mr. Ahmadinejad made the remark while addressing a cheering crowd of students in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta today (Thursday).
The Iranian president said last year (in October) that Israel should be wiped off the map and that the Nazi Holocaust (during World War Two) was a myth. Those remarks drew sharp criticism from world leaders.
Earlier this week, Israel's Vice Prime Minister Shimon Peres said Iran must know it also can be destroyed. He said Iran's quest for nuclear weapons is not just a threat to Israel, but a danger to the whole world.
