Afghan police have found the beheaded body of an Indian contractor near where he was kidnapped Friday by Taleban militants.
An Interior Ministry spokesman (Yousef Stanizai) confirmed the killing in Zabul province, saying it was carried out by the enemies of Afghanistan.
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Afghan President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the murder. Mr. Singh called for unity in the face of terrorism, and expressed his condolences to the grieving family.
