이와 관련해 타밀호랑이 반군은 스리랑카 정부군으로 부터 박격포 공격을 받았다고 말했지만 정부군은 이번 충돌에 간여하지 않았다고 말했습니다.
타밀엘람의 해방호랑이 단체는 스리랑카 정부가 전직 타밀 반군 사령관인 무랄리테란이 이끄는 집단을 지원하고 있다고 비난하고 있습니다.

Sri Lanka's Tamil Tiger rebels say they overran three camps of a renegade breakaway group today (Sunday), killing about 20 members of the rival group.
The Website TamilNet says the attack was carried out by "an elite commando unit of the Liberation Tigers" near the village of Welikanda in the eastern district of Batticaloa.
The Tigers said they came under mortar attack from the Sri Lankan army, but an army official says the military was not involved in the clash.
The main Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam accuses the government of supporting the rogue faction, led by former Tamil commander V. Muralitheran, better known as Colonel Karuna. The army denies the allegations.
