리모 선수의 기록은 2시간6분 39초였으며 렐 선수는 불과 2초차이로 우승을 놓쳤습니다.
한편, 여자부에서는 미국의 디나 캐스토르 선수가 자신의 국내기록을 1분40초 단축한 2시간 19분 36초로 우승했습니다.

Kenya's Felix Limo outsprinted his countryman Martin Lel at the finish to win today's (Sunday's) London Marathon.
Racing in cool, rainy weather, Limo and Lel ran side by side for most of the final two kilometers before Limo surged ahead in the final meters.
Limo finished with a time of two hours, six minutes, and 39 seconds. Lel, the defending champion, was just two seconds behind. Hendrick Ramaala of South Africa came in third.
In the women's race, Deena Kastor broke her own American record while cruising to an easy victory.
