중국은 타이완에서 본토 중국과의 통일에 우호적인 여론을 강화하기 위한 노력의 일환으로 타이완에 대한 일련의 무역상의 양보를 제의했습니다.
15일 발표된 그 같은 양보 조치에 따라 중국에 수입되는 타이완 산 과일의 종류가 기존의 18개에서 22개로 늘어나게 됩니다. 또한 중국은 11종류의 타이완 산 야채와 일부 타이완 수산물에 관세를 부과하지 않을 것이라고 제의했습니다.
타이완 문제를 담당하는 중국 국무원 대만사무 판공실의 천윈린 주임은 15일 폐막된 양안간 경제무역 포럼에서 그같이 발표했습니다.

China is offering Taiwan a series of trade concessions in an effort to boost public sentiment on the island in favor of reunification with the mainland.
The concessions, announced today, will add four types of Taiwan-grown fruit to a list of 18 varieties that can enter China. They will also offer a tax-free import status to 11 kinds of vegetables and some Taiwan aquatic products.
The director of China's Taiwan Affairs Office (Chen Yunlin) made the announcement in Beijing at the end of a government forum on cross-straits business.
