중국은 이란 핵문제를 둘러싼 이란과 서방국가들간의 대립사태를 해결하기위해 이란과 러시아에 특사를 파견한다고 밝혔습니다. 중국의 류젠차오 외교부 대변인은 13일, 쿠이 티안카이 외교부 부부장이 14일부터 이란과 러시아를 방문한다고 말했습니다.
앞서 중국은 유엔에서 이란정부가 원자력 강도를 지닌 우라늄을 농축했다고 발표한데 대해 우려를 표시했습니다.
유엔산하 국제 원자력 기구-IAEA의 모하메드 엘 바라데이 사무총장은 13일, 이란의 수도 테헤란에서 이란정부 관리들과 이 문제를 논의할 예정입니다.
엘바라데이 사무총장은, 이란에 대해 국제사회의 요청를 받아들이고, 핵 계획을 중단하라고 촉구한 바 있습니다.
이란 정부는 우라늄 농축활동을 계속하겠다고 말했습니다.
