이집트 보건부는 이집트에서 두번째 인체 조류독감 감염 사례를 발견했다고 밝혔습니다.
보건부는 19일 한 젊은 남성이 조류독감 증세를 보인 뒤 16일 입원했다면서, 이 남자는 닭 농장을 운영해 왔으며 그의 농장에서 기르던 수많은 닭이 지난 13일 죽었다고 말했습니다.
이에 앞서 17일에는 치명적인 H5N1 조류독감 바이러스에 감염된 것으로 여겨지는 여성 한 명이 사망했습니다. 이집트는 지난달 조류독감 발생을 처음 보고한 바 있습니다.

Egypt's health ministry says it has discovered a second suspected human case of bird flu.
The health ministry said today (Sunday) a young man has been hospitalized since Thursday after suffering symptoms of the disease. It said he kept a chicken farm and that a number of them had died last Monday.
The report followed the death Friday of a woman believed to have contracted the H5N1 strain of the virus.
Egypt last month announced the discovery of bird flu in the country.
