17일 간 열린 이번 토리노 동계 올림픽에서 독일이 29개의 메달로 종합 1위를 차지했고, 25개와 24개의 메달을 획득한 미국과 캐나다가 각각 2위와 3위를 차지했습니다.
한편, 한국은 금메달 6개와 은메달 3개 동메달 2개로 종합 7위에 오른 반면, 이번 대회에 피겨 스케이팅과 쇼트 트랙에 7명의 선수를 파견했던 북한은 단 하나의 메달도 획득하지 못하는 부진을 보였습니다.

The 20th Winter Olympic Games in Turin, Italy officially ended Sunday with a lavish closing ceremony embodying the theme of the games: "The Passion Lives Here."
Fireworks erupted as the Olympic flame was extinguished after International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge declared the games closed.
The Olympic Stadium stage was transformed into a giant Italian piazza with elaborately costumed dancers, clowns and acrobats dressed for Carnival thrilling the athletes and the capacity 35 thousand crowd.
The audience was treated to performances by Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, Latin pop star Ricky Martin and Canadian rocker Avril Lavigne.
The 17-day Turin Games ended with Germany winning the most medals with 29, followed by the United States with 25, Canada with 24, Austria with 23 and Russia with 22.
The 21st Winter Games will be in Vancouver, Canada.
