테러범 죄수등 수백명의 수감자들이 폭동을 일으켜 교도소 한 블럭을 장악하고 있는 카불의 중범 교도소를 아프간 경찰과 군인들이 탱크의 지원 하에 포위하고 있습니다.
당국자들은, 교도소 당국이 지난 달에 발생한 탈레반 수감자 7명의 탈옥 사건 재발을 방지하기위해 새로운 죄수복을 수감자들에게 지급하기 시작하자 이에 반발해 25일 늦게 촉발된 폭동 사태를 진압하던 중에 20여명의 수감자들이 부상했다고 밝혔습니다.
목격자들은, 알 카에다와 탈레반에 연계된 과격 분자들이 일반 죄수들과 함께 수감돼 있는 풀 이 차르키 교도소에서 총성이 들렸다고 말하고 있습니다.

Afghan police and troops backed by tanks have surrounded a high security prison in Kabul where terror convicts and hundreds of other inmates have taken control of a prison block.
Officials say more than 20 prisoners were injured during attempts to quell the riot, which began late Saturday after prison authorities began issuing new uniforms to inmates. The uniforms are intended to prevent a repeat of an escape by seven Taleban inmates last month.
Witnesses say shots were heard at the Pul-e-Charkhi prison, which houses common criminals as well as al-Qaida and Taleban-linked militants.
