South Korean prosecutors say they have questioned junior researchers in an investigation into the activities of disgraced stem cell scientist Hwang Woo-suk.
The investigation comes nearly a week after Seoul National University concluded Hwang's two papers on stem cell research were faked.
Prosecutors have confirmed today's (Monday's) interrogations, but have not given additional details. Over the past few years, Hwang's team received millions of dollars in government funds for research.
Hwang has admitted to fraud in his papers, but said last week he was the victim of a conspiracy to discredit him. He accuses junior scientists of deceiving him about the research data.
