아리엘 샤론 이스라엘 총리는 의사들이 그의 뇌에서 압력이 높아지고 출혈이 일어나는 것을 발견함에 따라 또 한 차례 수술을 받았습니다.
샤론 총리가 입원해 있는 예루살렘 소재 하다사 병원 원장은 뇌 촬영 결과 새로운 출혈과 뇌가 부풀어오르는 현상이 발견됐다면서 이에 따라 긴급수술이 이뤄졌다고 말했습니다.
샤론 총리는 4일 저녁 네게브 사막에 있는 자신의 목장에 머물던 중 심한 뇌졸중으로 긴급히 병원에 후송됐으며 수술 직후 현재 의식불명의 심각한 상태에 빠져 있습니다.
샤론 총리는 지난달에 가벼운 뇌졸중을 겪은 뒤 5일 심장 수술을 받을 예정이었습니다.
이스라엘은 현재 에후드 올버트 부총리가 총리직을 대행하고 있습니다.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has been rushed back to the operating room after doctors detected a rise in pressure on his brain and more bleeding.
Doctor Shlomo Mor-Yosef, director of Jerusalem's Hadassah hospital, said today (Friday) a brain scan revealed new hemorrhaging and swelling on the brain. He said the 77-year-old Mr. Sharon was undergoing emergency surgery.
The Israeli prime minister has been in serious condition in a medically-induced coma since surgeons stemmed bleeding in his brain Thursday to relieve pressure caused by a massive stroke.
Mr. Sharon was rushed to the Jerusalem hospital Wednesday night, after falling ill at his ranch in the Negev desert. He suffered a minor stroke in December, and had been scheduled to undergo a heart catheterization procedure Thursday to plug a tiny hole that doctors diagnosed during his recovery last month.
Mr. Sharon's deputy, Ehud Olmert, has taken over as acting prime minister.
