인도네시아 경찰은 중부 술라웨시 주의 한 시장에서 발생한 폭발사건과 관련해 남자 한 명을 체포했습니다.
이 폭발로 7명이 사망하고 50여명이 부상했습니다. 경찰 대변인은 이 남자를 술라웨시 주 주도인 팔루의 폭발현장 부근에서 체포했다고 밝혔습니다.
폭발은 기독교도들이 이용하는 시장에서 일어났으며, 이 시장은 이슬람교도들에게 금지된 돼지고기 등 물건을 파는 곳입니다.
인도네시아는 세계 최대 회교 국가지만 술라웨시는 기독교도와 회교도 수가 거의 비슷한 주이며, 이 곳에서는 지난 10년 간 종교폭력이 끊이지 않았습니다.

Indonesian police have arrested a man in connection with a market bombing that killed seven people and wounded almost 50 in Central Sulawesi province.
A police spokesman said today (Sunday) the man was detained for questioning near the site of the blast in (Palu) the provincial capital. Police have also revised the death toll from eight to seven.
The bomb, packed with nails and shrapnel, exploded in a market patronized by Christians, where pork and other products forbidden to Muslims were sold.
While Indonesia is the world's largest Muslim-populated nation, Christians and Muslims live in roughly equal numbers in Central Sulawesi. The region has been wracked by religious violence and tension for nearly a decade
