사고 여객기는 수도 아부자발 비행기로 한 카톨릭 성직자는 사망자 가운데 71명은 성탄절 휴일을 맞아 집으로 가려던 예수회 중등학교 학생들이었다고 전했습니다.
나이지리아의 올루세건 오바산조 대통령은 지난 10월 국내 여객기 사고로 117명이 사망한 뒤 또다른 여객기 추락 사고가 발생하자 국내 모든 항공기들의 안전 절차를 강화할 것이라고 다짐했습니다.

The Sosoliso Airlines DC-9 was carrying 110 passengers and crew when it went down in the city of Port Harcourt during a thunderstorm.
Experts will analyze the plane's fight-data recorders, which were found earlier today.
The plane was on a flight from the capital, Abuja. A Catholic cleric (John Onaiyekan) says 71 of those killed were students from a Jesuit school going home for the Christmas holiday.
