방글라데시 경찰 당국은 알-카이다 테러리스트 조직의 일원이라고 주장하는 한 남자가 협박 메시지를 보냈다고 말했습니다. 이 남자는 또 유럽의 다른 나라 외교공관들도 폭파하겠다고 위협했습니다.
방글라데시 외교부는 최근 방글라데시에서 금년에 일련의 폭탄공격을 자행한 회교도 테러리스트들이 방글라데시 주재 외교공관들을 공격할 위험이 있다고 경고해 왔습니다.

Security has been tightened at embassies in Bangladesh after a threat to blow up the U.S. and British diplomatic missions. Police say a man who said he is a member of the al-Qaida terrorist network sent the threatening message by fax to the British High Commission early Sunday.
Authorities say the man also threatened unspecified European missions. The Bangladesh Foreign Ministry said recently it had warned foreign diplomatic missions about the threat of possible attacks by Islamist militants who have been blamed for a series of bomb attacks in the country this year.
Outlawed Islamist groups are fighting to turn democratic Bangladesh, the world's third most populous mainly Muslim nation, into a Sharia-based Islamic state.
