스위스에 본사를 둔 세계 최대 식음료업체, 네슬레 사가 유아용 우유 제품 수백만 개를 회수하고 있습니다.
이 같은 회수 조치는 이탈리아에서 네슬레 사의 유아용 우유 제품이 화학 물질에 오염됐을지도 모른다는 실험 결과가 나온 뒤 취해졌습니다.
이번 회수 조치에는 스페인 북부에 있는 네슬레 공장에서 생산돼 프랑스와 이탈리아, 포르투갈, 스페인 등지에서 판매돼 왔던 다양한 종류의 우유 제품들이 해당됩니다.
실험 결과들에서는 포장재에 사용되는 화학 물질이 우유 제품 속에 스며들었을 수도 있음이 들어 났습니다.*

Swiss-based food giant Nestle has recalled millions of cartons of baby milk after tests in Italy show the milk may have been contaminated by a chemical.
The recall covers various brands of milk in France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain and produced in a Nestle factory in northern Spain.
Tests show that a chemical used in printing the cartons may have seeped into the product itself.
Nestle says the level of the chemical does not pose a health risk but announced the recall as a precaution. It also says it has changed its packaging techniques to assure against future contamination.
