North Korea says it is accelerating efforts to prevent an outbreak of bird flu by rewriting national strategies to fight the deadly disease.
The North's official Korean Central News Agency said today (Friday) the country recently worked out regulations, emergency action plans and a prevention strategy against an avian influenza outbreak.
Meanwhile, Vietnam reported today bird flu outbreaks in three more northern provinces, bringing the total number affected areas to 17 out of the country's 64 provinces and municipalities.
