지난 10월 29일, 힌두교의 주요 축제인 디왈리를 이틀앞두고 번잡한 세곳의 시장에서 거의 동시에 벌어진 이 폭탄 공격은 인도 근세사에서 가장 대규모적인 범인 색출전을 전개하도록 촉발시켰습니다.

Indian police have arrested a Kashmiri man who they say masterminded last month's triple bombings in New Delhi that killed at least 60 people and wounded more than 200 others.
Police commissioner K.K. Paul says the suspect -- Tariq Ahmad Dar -- is believed to be a key member of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba militant group and the chief conspirator and financier of the attacks.
The commissioner says Mr. Dar was arrested in Srinagar, Indian Kashmir's main city, on Thursday and will remain in police custody in New Delhi for several days before being formally charged. He says the hunt is on for four other accomplices.
The near-simultaneous bomb blasts in three crowded markets on October 29th came two days before the major Hindu festival of Diwali. They prompted the launch of one of the biggest manhunts in India's recent history.
