인도네시아 경찰은 불법 마약공장을 급습해 프랑스인과 네덜랜드인 각각 1명, 그리고 몇몇 중국인 등 모두 21명을 체포했습니다.
당국은 수도 자카르타에서 60 킬로미터 떨어진 사랑에서의 이번 급습을 통해 각성제 1백 킬로그램, 환각작용제 수천개 및 3백 드럼이 넘는 마약 재료들을 압수했습니다.
수실로 밤방 유도요노 인도네시아 대통령은 12일 현지를 방문한 자리에서 이 공장은 일주일에 1천만달러 어치의 마약을 제조할 수 있는 곳이라고 말했습니다.
인도네시아는 일부 마약 관련 범죄를 사형에 처하도록 하고 있습니다.

Indonesian police have arrested 21 people including a French and a Dutch national and several Chinese in a raid on an illegal drugs factory.
Authorities say they seized about 100 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, thousands of ecstasy pills and more than 300 drums of drugs ingredients in Friday's raid in Sarang, about 60 kilometers west of Jakarta.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who visited the site today (Saturday), told reporters the factory had the potential to make drugs worth about 10 million dollars a week.
Mr. Yudhoyono said if the drug trade were allowed to continue, "an untold number of people would become victims."
Indonesia imposes the death penalty for some drug offenses.
