이란은 유럽연합이 핵연료 활동을 다시 전면 중단하도록 요구하고 있다며 유럽연합을 비판했습니다.
하미드 레자 아세피 이란 외무부 대변인은 8일 유럽연합의 성명은 놀라운 일이라면서 유럽은 이란에 대한 태도를 바꿔야 한다고 말했습니다.
아세피 대변인은 또 이란은 평화적 목적으로 핵기술을 이용할 권리를 포기하지 않을 것이라고 덧붙였습니다. 이란은 최근 우라늄 농축의 전단계로 우라늄 전환 금지를 끝냈습니다. 이란의 핵협상 대표인 알리 라리자니씨는 지난 8월 이래 중단돼온 영국 프랑스 및 독일과의 협상 재개를 촉구했습니다.

Iran has criticized the European Union for calling on Tehran to reinstate a full suspension of its nuclear fuel work. Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi today (Tuesday) called the European statement "surprising" and suggested Europe should change its behavior toward Iran. He added that Iran will not withdraw its right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
Recently, Iran ended a ban on uranium conversion, a precursor to uranium enrichment. Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani, has called for a resumption of talks with Britain, France and Germany. Nuclear talks collapsed in August, after Iran rejected economic incentives offered in return for a permanent end to enrichment.
The United States has accused Iran of secretly pursuing nuclear weapons, a charge Tehran denies.
