유럽의 항공기 제작사인 에어버스사는 경쟁사인 미국의 보잉사와 분쟁을 빚고 있는 국가보조금을 받지 않고 새로운 A350기종을 생산할 계획이라고 발표했습니다.
에어버스사는 이 기종이 보잉사의 787 [드림라이너] 기종과 경쟁하기 위해 계획된 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
두 항공기 제작사들은 250명에서 300명까지 승객을 태울 수 있는 연료 절감형의 여객기 개발을 추진하고 있습니다.
세계항공기시장에서 치열한 경쟁을 벌이고 있는 두 항공기 제작사는 서로 상대방 회사가 불공정한 정부보조금을 받고 있다고 비난하면서 이를 세계무역기구에 제소한 바 있습니다.

European aircraft manufacturer Airbus says it will build its new A350 passenger jet without state subsidies, the subject of an international trade dispute with U.S. rival Boeing.
Airbus says the plane is designed to rival Boeing's 787 Dreamliner. Both planes are designed to cut fuel costs while carrying 250 to 300 passengers.
In their intense competition for the world aircraft market, Airbus and Boeing have filed countersuits with the World Trade Organization accusing each other of getting unfair government support.
The dispute erupted last year after the United States said it was scrapping a 1992 trade agreement setting limits on aircraft subsidies to European and U.S.-made planes.
