기록적인 고유가가 미국의 수요 감퇴를 가져오고 있다는 보도가 나오고 있는 가운데 6일 국제유가가 두달만에 처음으로 최저수준으로 하락했습니다.
이날 원유 선물가격은 뉴욕선물시장에서 배럴당 60달러 70센트를 기록했습니다.
이 같은 가격은 5일의 폐장가격보다 배럴당 1달러 이상 떨어진 것이며, 지난 8월말에 비해서는 무려 10달러 이상 하락한 것입니다.
이에 따라 휘발유를 비롯해 난방유, 천연가스 가격이 하락하고 있으며, 석유회사 재고도 감소하고 있습니다.

World oil prices fell to their lowest level in two months Thursday as investors reacted to reports that near-record gasoline prices are cutting demand in the United States.
The price of crude oil for future delivery fell as low as 60 dollars and 70 cents in New York trading.
That is down more than one dollar from Wednesday's close and more than ten dollars a barrel below the record high price set at the end of August.
Prices for gasoline, heating oil, natural gas, and oil company stocks also sagged.
The sell-off followed Wednesday's government report showing fuel consumption in the past month is nearly three percent lower than it was this time last year.
