일본 정부는 지난 주 침몰해 선원 7명이 사망한 일본 어선이 이스라엘 화물선과 충돌했을 가능성을 조사하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.
일본 언론은 2일의 해안 경비 레이다 기록이 현재 남한에 정박해 있는 이스라엘 화물선이 신세이 마루 3호가 침몰했을 당시 사고 지점에 있다가 급작스레 방향을 바꾼 것으로 보여주고 있다고 보도했습니다.
일본 언론은 남한 당국이 이스라엘 화물선의 선체의 손상된 부분에서 페인트 견본을 수집했다고 전했습니다. 이 견본은 일본 어선의 페인트와 일치하는지 여부를 결정하기 위해서 일본에 보내졌습니다.
문제의 이스라엘 화물선 선장은 어떠한 충돌도 있었던 것으로 생각지 않는다고 주장한 것으로 알려졌습니다.
일본 어선은 28일 일본 네무로 해안에서 침몰된 채 발견됐으며 8명의 선원들 가운데 1명 만이 구조됐습니다.

Japan says it is investigating the possibility that an Israeli cargo ship collided with a Japanese fishing vessel that sank last week, killing seven crew members.
Japanese media report today (Sunday) that coast guard radar records show an Israeli cargo ship now docked in South Korea abruptly changed directions around the time and place of the sinking of the Shinsei Maru Number Three.
Japanese media say South Korean authorities have collected paint samples from a damaged area on the Israeli ship's hull. The samples have been sent to Japan to determine if they match paint from the Japanese fishing boat.
The captain of the Israeli ship is reported to have said he does not recall any such collision.
The Japanese boat was found capsized Wednesday off Nemuro, Japan. Only one of its eight crew members was rescued.
