일본 오사카 고등법원은 논란많은 고이즈미 주니치로 일본 총리의 신사 참배에 관해 위헌판결을 내렸습니다.
오사카 고등법원은 30일, 고이즈미 총리가 야스쿠니 신사를 참배하는 것은 공적인 행사이기 때문에, 정치와 종교 분리를 규정한 일본 헌법에 위배된다고 지적했습니다.
그러나 법원은 타이완 국회의원과 2차 대전에 참전했다 사망한 군인 가족등 188명의 원고들이 요구한 일인당 88달라 상당의 배상금은 거부했습니다.
여러 참전 사망자들은 가족들의 희망과는 상관없이 야스쿠니 신사에 위패가 안치돼 있습니다. 야스쿠니 신사는 2차 대전후 교수형을 당한 전범등을 포함, 전몰자들을 기리기 위해 세워진 신사입니다.

A Japanese high court has ruled that Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's visit to a controversial war shrine is unconstitutional.
The Osaka High Court said today (Friday) that Mr. Koizumi's worshipping at the Yasukuni shrine was a public act, and therefore violated the constitutional separation of state and religion.
But the court rejected compensation demands of 88 dollars by each of the 188 plaintiffs, who included Taiwanese lawmakers and bereaved families of World War Two veterans from Taiwan. Many of the veterans are interred at the Yasukuni Shrine against the wishes of their families.
The Yasukuni Shrine honors Japan's war dead, including war criminals who were hanged after World War Two.
