세계식량계획은 소말리아의 해적들에게 소말리아의 쓰나미 피해자들에게 지원하는 유엔의 식량을 싣고 운항하던 중 지난 6월 납치된 선박을 무조건 석방하도록 촉구했습니다.
식량계획은 또 소말리아 지도자들과 정치인들 및 각종 단체들이 이 문제 해결을 위해 나서줄 것을 당부했습니다.
해적들은 22일 그동안 선박을 석방 합의 과정에서 머물러 있던 소말리아의 엘 만 항구를 빠져 나왔으며 새로운 요구조건을 제시하고 있다고 식량계획은 밝혔습니다.
납치된 선박에는 850톤의 쌀이 적재돼 있습니다.

The United Nations food agency is demanding that Somali pirates unconditionally release a hijacked ship carrying food aid after they reneged on a second deal to end the dispute.
The World Food Program also called on community leaders, politicians and members of civil society to intervene.
On Thursday, the hijackers sailed out of the Somali port of El Maan, where they had docked in the latest agreement to release the ship, its 10-man crew and 850-ton cargo of rice.
According to the U.N. agency, the hijackers had issued new ransom demands.
An official says it is clear the hijackers -- who seized the ship loaded with relief for Somali tsunami victims in June -- are not serious about resolving the crisis and declared null and void all previous agreements.
