Multinational talks over North Korea's nuclear program are still on hold, but there are reports that Pyongyang may soon agree to a new round of negotiations.
Thailand's foreign minister, who is visiting Pyongyang, said today (Sunday) that North Korean leaders are not ready to rejoin talks that had been scheduled for this week. But the Thai official said he hoped talks would resume later in September.
China's top negotiator, Wu Dawei, arrived in Pyongyang Saturday. He is reportedly expected to make a statement on the status of another round of talks later this week.
Negotiations among the two Koreas, China, Japan, Russia and the United States adjourned August 7th after 13 days of discussions failed to produce an agreement.
