버마 수도 랑군의 외교관들은 도시가 평온하다고 말하고, 정부는 모든 것이 정상이라는 것을 보여주기 위해 애쓰는 모습이라고 전했습니다. 탄 수웨 장군의 소재는 25일 현재 알려지지 않고 있습니다.

Thailand's prime minister says rumors of a coup within Burma's military junta are not true.
Thailand Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra told a Bangkok news conference today (Thursday) his government has received confirmation from a variety of sources that a coup has not occurred.
Rumors had circulated this week (following a report on the BBC) that ruling General Than Shwe had been ousted by his deputy, General Maung Aye, for alleged corruption.
Diplomats in the Burmese capital, Rangoon, say the city is quiet, and that the government is giving every sign of business as usual.
General Than Shwe's whereabouts were unknown Thursday.
Rumors about what is going on in Burma's military government have been rife since General Khin Nyunt was ousted as prime minister and intelligence chief last October.
Burma has been ruled by the military since a coup in 1962.
