호주에서 존 하워드 총리와 회교 사회 지도자들이 테러리즘 분쇄에 합세하기로 합의했습니다.
하워드 총리는 23일 캔버라에서 14명의 온건파 회교도 지도자들을 만난 뒤, 테러 위협이 발생할 때 이에 대처하는데 서로 협력하기로 참석자들이 만장일치로 결의했다고 밝혔습니다.
참석자중 한 사람인 아미르 알리 “호주 회교 사회 연맹”회장은, 이날 회의의 초점은 극단주의적인 견해가 호주를 해치지 못하도록 하기 위한 방안을 강구하자는 것이었다고 말했습니다.

Iraq's interim Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari says almost all key issues delaying a draft constitution have been resolved.
Mr. al-Jaafari told reporters in Baghdad today (Tuesday) that negotiators have agreed on 151 of the 153 articles of the charter.
The incomplete draft was presented to parliament shortly before the deadline of Monday midnight local time, without the approval of Sunni negotiators.
The speaker of parliament, Hajim al-Hasani, gave Shi'ites, Kurds and Sunnis until Thursday to resolve pending issues.
The White House welcomed Iraq's draft constitution as another step forward in its democratic process and said the three-day delay will give Iraqis time to reach a consensus.
President Bush said Iraqis were defying terrorists by working on a democratic constitution.
