중국은 타이완의 최신 유엔 재가입 시도를 비난했습니다.
중국 외교부 대변인은 13일 성명을 발표하고 타이완의 유엔 가입 요청은 유엔 헌장을 위반하는 것으로 어떠한 지지도 얻을것 같지않으며 필연적으로 실패하게 되어 있다고 말했습니다.
타이완 대표들은 12일 유엔에 대해 타이완 해협의 평화 유지에 도움이 되도록, 34년전에 철회된 타이완의 유엔 회원 지위를 회복시켜 주도록 13번째로 요청했습니다.

China has denounced Taiwan's latest attempt to rejoin the United Nations -- an effort that Beijing says is "doomed."
(Kong Quan) A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said (in a statement) today (Saturday) that Taiwan's request violates the U.N. Charter. Beijing says Taiwan's application is unlikely to gain any support, and is doomed to fail.
Representatives from Taiwan asked the United Nations Friday to restore the island's membership in the world body to help keep peace in the Taiwan straits. This was the 13th time Taiwan has tried to rejoin the United Nations since its membership was revoked 34 years ago.
