The Pentagon says the remains of 12 U.S. military servicemen who were killed in action during the Vietnam War in 1968 have been identified and returned to the United States for burial.
Excavations at the site of the fierce battle began in 1993. North Vietnamese forces killed 11 Marines and one Army soldier in former South Vietnam's Kham Duc province along the border with Laos 37-years ago.
Villagers, former Vietnamese troops, and American war veterans all helped accurately identify the exact battlefield.
