유엔 산하 세계식량계획은 8일 소말리아 과도정부와 지역 지도자들 간에 850톤의 식량을 실은 채 지난 6월 나포됐던 선박 석방에 대한 합의가 이뤄졌다고 밝혔습니다.
식량계획은 서명에서 납치범들이 선박과 10명의 선원들, 그리고 식량을 3일 안에 풀어주기로 했다고 말했습니다.
지역 지도자들은 납치범들과 협상을 통해 지원된 식량이 소말리아 정부에 인도되도록 하는데 합의했다고 성명은 밝혔습니다.
이 선박은 쓰나미 피해 희생자들을 지원하기 위해 일본과 독일 정부가 지원한 식량을 싣고 가던 중 소말리아 해안에서 지난 6월 납치됐습니다.

The World Food Program has announced an agreement with community leaders and Somalia's transitional government for the release of a hijacked ship carrying tons of food aid.
In a statement today (Monday), the U.N. agency said the hijackers agreed to release the ship, its 10-man crew and the 850-metric tons of food within three days.
It said community leaders negotiated a deal with the hijackers in which the food aid will be handed over to the Somali government for distribution in the central regions of the country.
Unidentified gunmen seized the ship in June off the coast of Somalia. It was carrying food aid donated by Japan and Germany for Somali victims of last year's deadly tsunami.
