South Korean golfer Jeong Jang has stretched her lead to five strokes by shooting a three-under-par 69 in the third round of the women's British Open, the L-P-G-A's last major event of the year.
The South Korean is seeking her first victory on the tour and is 13-under-par 203 for three rounds, a record for 54 holes since the British Open became a major five years ago. World number one Annika Sorenstam of Sweden is tied for second place with American Cristie Kerr at eight-under-par 208.
American rookie Paula Creamer, the winner of last week's Evian Masters, is tied with 15-year-old amateur countrywoman Michelle Wie, Young Kim of South Korea, 2000 British Open winner Sophie Gustafson, and Liselotte Nuemann of Sweden.
